Months ago, Magnificat was chosen for its beauty and spirit. Today, it carries new meaning, becoming a reflection of justice, courage, and grace.

The concert imagery, created by Jonathan Pugh, captures the essence of Mary’s song: fierce yet tender, a mother’s cry for justice. It honors the strength of immigrant mothers who protect their families with unyielding love, even in the face of hardship.
At its heart is the verse:

“Deposuit potentes de sede et exaltavit humiles.”
He has put down the mighty from their seats and has exalted the humble.
Magnificat Luke 1:52

This ancient text reminds us that power can yield to compassion, and that dignity belongs to all.
This concert is more than a performance; it is art in action, a call to empathy and solidarity.

​A portion of proceeds will support the National Immigrant Justice Center, advancing dignity, representation, and hope for those seeking safety and belonging.

Reminder! This upcoming Sunday, October 26 at 4 PM, the Allegrezza Singers will perform a benefit concert for The Boulevard of Chicago at Union Church of Hinsdale, U.C.C.! Enjoy beautiful choral music, support a meaningful cause, and stay after for light refreshments with our community.

All proceeds will benefit The Boulevard’s mission of providing medical respite care and housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.
