“The LORD God formed man out of the clay of the ground
and blew into his nostrils the breath of life,
and so man became a living being.” (Gn. 2:7)

Clay of the ground. In our age so obsessed with self-exaltation, this verse generates a change of self-image.

But,
“He knows what we are made of:
He remembers that we are dust.” (Ps. 103:14)

In other words, He gets it. He made us this way.
