๐ฉ๐ปโโ๏ธ doctorโdesigned organ plushies to make health feel more human

๐ซถ๐ฝ spread kindness. spread kindess.
As an ugly crier I think my contribution to society is making other people ugly cry too (in a good way)...hahah ๐
This fully tracks because I built an entire company where people send cute organs to people they love... and then everyone cries...but in a good way.
Which sounds insane, I know...
But then someone sends one to their friend before surgery, or their mom during chemo, or their aunt after a transplant and then all of the sudden this tiny little organ is carrying so many feelings and I think thereโs something super sweet about that.
It's this weird little way of saying, "I know this is scary... I'm here. Hereโs an organ with eyeballs because words are hard... and I love you."
I think sometimes you just want a way to show up without needing the perfect words.
And... sometimes that way is a kidney with a face. ๐
Anyway, if there's someone you'd like to make ugly cry in a good way, I fully support this. ๐คฃ
You know that moment where you're holding the flowers, and they feel... fine. ๐ธ
Fine is not what you were going for. Fine is not what this person deserves.
They're going through something real, a surgery, a diagnosis, a hard season, and you want the gift to actually say the thing. Not just "thinking of you." The actual thing.
So here's what we made: a plushie that makes hard things feel softer, a card that holds your actual words, and nothing else you don't need.
Stuffed organs that somehow say everything flowers can't ๐งธ๐

hi. i'm ronak. i've been hiding behind nerdbugs for 7 years, and apparently that's ending today ๐
seven years of building something i love. seven years of being terrified to justโฆ talk into a camera.
but here's the thing: my dream is to get a Nerdbugs plushie into every single hospital. and to make health less scary for every kid and adult who's ever been scared in a hospital bed.
and i can't do any of that, staying behind the scenes forever.
so here i am. hi ๐
p.s. it is our 7th birthday! ๐ drop a ๐ฅณ in the comments to celebrate with us!
The text comes in: "hey so sorry, can we reschedule?"
And your face does the thing. ๐
The polite "oh no that's totally fine!" typed in 0.3 seconds.
The internal reaction that looks nothing like that.
Cancelled plans are genuinely one of the greatest gifts an introvert can receive and we will not be apologizing for that. A whole evening. Just returned to you. No small talk. No traffic. No figuring out where to park. Just you, your couch, your snacks, and absolutely nobody asking you anything.
Tag the introvert in your life who just got their plans cancelled and is pretending to be disappointed ๐

Nobody talks about the mental load of mom math and honestly it deserves its own TED talk๐ญ
Need to be somewhere by 7pm?
That's cute. Because what that actually means is:
โ
Finish deliverables by 2
โ
Text husband by 3
โ
Done with meetings by 4
โ
Leave the house by 6:15
โ
Pull up by 6:45
A 7pm arrival is a 2pm problem. Every single time.
Tag the mom who is already doing this math in her head for something happening next Thursday ๐
(The brain plushie has been running these calculations since 6am. She needs a nap.)
