Anyone else have a hard time parting with your old journals? They are often reminders of the work you’ve put in, the space you made for yourself, and the love you can offer back to the younger version of you that you didn’t always see it at the time. This one still tracks.

I hope you keep applying these too. 🫶🏽

We deserve to find pockets of joy as much as people’s experiences deserve to be told.

Hi Coffee Friends,

Here is a quick guide on getting access to a loved one that’s been transferred.

Please note, this is not perfect and it took me nearly 5hrs between 2 days to sort through a mess of 3rd parties to function…I hope you don’t need it but have had a few people reach out. Please share!

I will be adding to the Linktree in my bio where the hyperlinks will be available. If you have any questions, please send me a DM.

My last 36 hours…

I will not give up and although progress feels helpless and stagnant right now I want to extend a huge thank you to our Alderman , the Cook County Commissioner Frank Gutierrez, and Christian Espinoza from the Ecuadorian Consulate, along with many other attorneys, journalists, participants that shared information, offered comfort, and their support.

I’ve created a for the family. Please like, share, and donate if you can.

Thank you all for your messages, texts, calls. It means so much to me. If you have any information, or story you’d like to share, please reach out. Community matters. We are here for each other 🙏♥️🙌🏽

🥲 In my feels today as I’m reminded that it’s been exactly 1 year since I went live and started my mobile coffee cart . It’s been a WILD ride and I will never get over the love and support I’ve received from near and far. New friends, old friends, teachers, light workers, Gods messengers (always RIGHT on TIME), fellow coffee shop/cart owners, and theee best customers. I’ve seen and experienced so much and I know this is still the beginning.

Looking back, I am beyond proud of taking this leap of faith which has allowed me to discover a newer version of myself—one that is choosing to live On and IN her purpose and learning to live out loud. 💖.

I will not lie, there are days I am figuring it out along the way. Doing my best to juggle the responsibilities of the roles in my life, all important, all that bring me immense JOY, all 1000% worth it.

🌷Happy Mothers Day! 🌷

As we celebrate Mother’s Day, I want to hear from you: What has been your biggest leap of faith as a mom and how has it changed your life? Share your stories below! 💬👇

P.S. Final slide is my little Lu on Day 1 of WSC 🥰

I started learning more about coffee in 2020 during the pandemic. My first book was The World Atlas of Coffee by James Hoffman. I wanted to upgrade to a more sophisticated espresso machine and always knew I wanted to reconnect with my roots and pursue a business in coffee through cherished stories my grandmother shared with me growing up. In 2021, I dared to dream what it all would feel like to live it out with .mother . It would have been so much easier to create a clean brand with a simple concept, but if you know me, I am far from simple. LOL. Everything from the logo, colors, concept, ingredients has been given a lot of thought and consideration. I recognize the weight so many of us are carrying right now and I’ve been wanting to express this for a long time but part of it has been delayed by feeling overwhelmed to share something so personal to me. I am now because I see how necessary it is. I hope some will be able to resonate. I hope you know that I see all of you. I am ready for great times on this journey upward, good vibes, and great coffee.

With Love,

Em
