That’s exactly why I always include a dynamic assessment in every saddle fitting. Because the real conversation happens in motion.

A saddle can look perfect on a standing horse and still cause discomfort the moment your horse starts to move. The shoulders rotate, the back swings, the muscles engage and suddenly that “good fit” is restricting movement, creating pressure points, or blocking that free, swinging back you’ve been working so hard for.

Watching your horse move under saddle. That’s where they truly tell you whether the fit is working or not.

A few months ago this girl came into my life 🤍

See in the first picture how her mane falls entirely to one side? A horse’s mane naturally falls toward the hollow side, where there’s slightly less muscle development.
Almost every horse has this to some degree, just like humans have a dominant hand.

So we focused on training her more symmetrically and now look at that second picture - a few months later. 🤩

A well-fitted saddle plays a big role in this. When your horse can move freely, the body can actually develop. This is what that looks like. ✨​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
