Honest question: When was the last time you learned something new? Or genuinely failed at something you aren’t great at?

Next question: How many times did you learn something new or fail at something as a kid? All the f$cking time.

Think about it. When you're young, literally everything is brand new—especially sports. Kids have zero fear of failure when they are learning to somersault in gymnasics, missing a kick in soccer, swinging over the tee in baseball, or slipping off a jungle gym and falling. They just dust themselved off and try again.

Somewhere along the way when we grow up, we started prioritizing the end achievement over the actual journey. We got terrified of looking stupid. We're scared of failing.

Hot take: As soon as we get scared of failing or embarrassing ourselves, it completely strips the fun out of the activity. It becomes about them instead of us.

So, here is my proposal - go learn something new. Re-learn something you used to do that you lost along the way. Go fail. Go be embarrassed. And most importantly, go have fun.

Weights look like they are moving again post hernia surgery. Whether it's inside the gym or out and whether you are brand new, coming back from injury, or a seasoned vet the only person standing in the way of your progress is you.

Find joy in the process of learning and re-learning the basics and why you started in the first place.

Nutrition. Exercise. Fresh air. Companionship.

We don’t need to overthink recovery. Take care of yourself, and take care of your friends. In short: just try to be a good person.

People won't remember your 10k time, but they’ll definitely remember the trip you took together or the time you showed up to help them move out of their apartment.

So, go talk to a friend. Go outside. Eat whole foods. Move your body.

Kicking off the week with a reminder: there’s nothing better than moving your body, doing something you love, and being alone with your thoughts. 🏔️

Everyone talks about starting the week on the right foot, which usually means taking care of errands or getting a big work task taken care. Maybe try a different approach and make sure you spend time filling your own cup first.

Pay yourself first. 👊

Never call last lap! ⛷️

Unfortunately, we’re approaching the end of the season—at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere not living on a glacier. For those still out there chasing turns, I’m wishing you all the fresh powder and bluebird days you can handle.

Over here, the focus is shifting. We’re getting the bikes tuned, building the base mileage in our legs, and prepping for a big spring of adventures.

The fun doesn't stop; it just changes. 🏔️
