(BTW I honestly don’t even know who this barber is and I doubt he stole anything from me, I was just talkin sh*t lol)

However, I usually allow my clients that have been with me PRIOR to a price the increase, to continue to pay what they have been paying. Simply because they come weekly or monthly consistently.
It’s my way of SHOWING my appreciation for their loyalty and support other than just saying it.

To the barbers that care about my advice:
Charge what you want but accept the potential consequences of charging $100 & up for a HAIRCUT base point.
You could loose more clients than you anticipate, and as barbers we should AVOID pricing ourselves out of business. Location, High-Demand, and overhead increases should be the top 3 points for increasing your rates. Not ego, envy, or internet-clout. { in my opinion from experience }

To the clients/customers: You can always find another barber!
I recommend trying barber colleges like Larry’s Barber College, Networks Barber College, Denmarks College, etc…
These are places you can support an aspiring barber for a price you can afford. No barber owes you affordability! It takes, time, money, and discipline to improve or even master this craft. Respect our profession like you do any others, Please and thank you! 🙏🏿
