Meet Avery Kaplan, JCUA's new Community Development Program Manager!

Avery will steward the Community Ventures Program (CVP), JCUA's interest-free loan fund for affordable housing and community development. They think of CVP as a circle, where money cycles and recycles through communities locked out of mainstream finance, helping catalyze affordable housing projects across Chicagoland and creating a region where we can all thrive.

Since 1991, CVP has provide $10.6M in zero-interest loans across 75 projects in 31 neighborhoods, leading to the creation or preservation of 5,400 affordable housing units and 1,600 quality jobs.

Welcome to JCUA, Avery! Learn more about them at jcua.org/blog
