Ok, ok, I was planning to wait a normal human amount of time before posting again, but I just can't do it!

We have such an amazing community here in Chicago and we are truly blessed to have some of the greatest minds in the scootering world here. (I think a lot of you know where I'm going with this...)

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Ken Kolanowski and ChicagoVespisti (not to mention Nisa, SCOOTER CENTER, Hot Rod Scooters, and others who donated parts and labor) for the awe-inspiring "Bluesmobile" custom scooter that was the highlight of the raffle this year! What an absolute gem. Hand-distressed paintwork, functioning spotlight and PA system, custom-made seat (that patch on the back is a true piece of Chicago scootering history there), and tuned and kitted out to perfection... I literally cannot do it justice here. Just an amazing job all around. Huge congratulations to the winner!

Now that your intrepid organizers have gotten some rest after the rally (and Riot Fest), we want to send our heart-felt thanks to everyone who helped make Slaughterhouse 31 / Midwest Vespa Days one of the best ever.

And there is no better way to start than with the Chicago scooter community's biggest supporters, Scooterworks Chicago / Scooterworks USA / Genuine Scooters. Every year, they always have quite the treat for us, and this year they really outdid themselves. Breakfast, tattoos by Lance and friends from Smart Ink Tattoo & Art Collective (so cool, I got three of them!), demonstrations, discounted service and dedicated hours, the North Shore Ride with stop at SuperDawg, and not to mention the fantastic concert at Martyrs'. (Special thank you to Nathan of Scooterworks Chicago for all your hard work in making Friday happen and for leading the ride!)

We'd also like to extend our gratitude to Martyrs' for always taking such good care of us, and for The Handsome Devilz and the Crombies for putting on one kickass show.

We couldn't possibly recap everything and thank everyone in one post, so over the next few days we'll be posting more photos and shout outs - keep an eye out!
