Back for year two!
I led the organizing and ex*****on of our Earth Day Volunteer Day with the at the McMicken Market Garden. As things go with organizing, our original location fell through just days before Earth Day, so I had to pivot FAST. Everything ended up coming together right where it needed to.
The Market Garden is more than a garden. It’s a space for education, sustainability, and food access, with what’s grown going back into the community. Leading this for the second year in a row feels a bit like tradition now.
Yesterday I drove out to Mt. Orab, Ohio to see the proposed site for a 1,000–3,000 acre data center. What stood out immediately is how close it is to people’s homes. In some cases, it’s quite literally their backyard.
One of the last things I worked on as Director of Policy for the City of Cincinnati was supporting the data center zoning moratorium discussion at City Hall. The goal was simple: pause and study the impact before large-scale data center development expands across our region.
Seeing this project in person was a reminder that these conversations often reach rural communities first. We’re already beginning to understand the strain data centers can place on land use, water, energy, and infrastructure. When you stand on hundreds or even thousands of acres where one could be built, the scale becomes very real.
Development matters, but so does thoughtful planning.

There is something special about seeing The Wiz live at the Aronoff, especially surrounded by my Sorors. The show was phenomenal!
Moments like this always take me back to my time at Butler Tech School of the Arts, where I spent my sophomore and junior years majoring in musical theater. Nights like this remind me why I fell in love with the stage in the first place. Once a theater kid, always a theater kid. 🎭

Today at City Hall, we raised the Pan-African flag.
I love my city for moments like this. Not many cities take the time to publicly honor the global African diaspora, its history, its resilience, and its ongoing contributions… but Cincinnati does.
As Director of Policy, it’s truly a joy to attend and support moments that reflect who we are striving to be as a city: intentional, inclusive, and rooted in respect for people and culture.
Grateful to serve a city that makes space for remembrance, pride, and possibility ✊🏾
