Pie day Friday...Shaker lemon pie! Many years ago my mom and I took a road trip to Shaker village in Kentucky. What a lovely drive, and beautiful country. It was the first time I'd heard of family style service, and they served an amazing lemon pie. It was the best I've ever had and have thought about it for years, and here's my love letter.
