Tuesday Tip: Turn Customers into Clients

This weekend I had an opportunity to meet a few business owners who had business booths. I engaged these owners as I was genuinely interested in their products. Yes, I did purchase from them...However, what amazes me as I watched how people would enter/leave their booths without having a effective strategy to engage, educate, and present an offer to their prospects. Furthermore what surprise me even more was the inability to ask for my contact info to perhaps sell me their products or service in the future. For many business owners ...we sell to customers instead of creating clients. A customer is someone I do a business transaction with. Client is someone who comes under my care and build a lifelong relationship with. Result is I’m able to provide them value longterm via my product/services.....What are your thoughts ?
