This bird looks like a flying piece of tropical fruit hidden in the rainforest canopy.

In the misty Atlantic forests of South America, the Saffron Toucanet glows with rich golden-yellow plumage that stands out brilliantly against deep green leaves. Its oversized bill, streaked with red, green, and black, gives it an almost unreal appearance as it moves through fruiting branches.

It feeds mainly on fruits, along with insects and small animals, carefully plucking meals from the canopy. As it travels through the forest, it spreads seeds across vast areas, helping new trees take root in the dense rainforest.
