*GRAPHIC PICTURE WARNING*

Riley is in deplorable shape and has suffered more than any animal should. Found as a stray, we rushed to help because Riley deserves a chance for love - whether that be short-term or long-term.

Riley was immediately transferred to emergency care and hospitalized. He has a body score of 2. Riley is 2.5 lbs. Despite this, he was interested in eating food. Just a tiny bit because he is on a refeeding schedule and being rehydrated. His mouth is a horrible mess. One of his eyes is missing, and the other one is gone and must be removed in the future. His fur was shaved to remove caked f***s.

Humans failed Riley. And The Rescue Inn is picking up the pieces. Riley isn't yet ready to give up - it's clear he's got a will to live so we will support him until or if a decision is appropriate. It's not our first rodeo, unfortunately, in situations like this.

Please help us support Riley. A donation of ANY amount is much appreciated. If you can't donate, share!

🌊 RELEASE THE KRAKEN! (Into Your Heart) 🌊

Meet Kraken, our legendary little sea monster who is ready to anchor himself right into a forever home! Born on April 23, 2026, this mythical boy just hit the 6-week milestone and will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. While he is currently a pint-sized legend weighing in at 11 pounds, he will not stay small for long. He is prophesied to grow into a majestic, standard-sized beast weighing between 60 to 90 pounds!

Kraken’s origin story begins with his resilient mother, Elaine, a stunning merle Labradoodle rescued from a closing breeding operation. Kraken will be ready for adoption in a few weeks, but we are launching our quest today to find his perfect human captains.

🧬 The Legend & The Breed:

Labradoodle Kraken may be named after a mythical sea giant, but he is likely a Standard Labradoodle through and through. Taming this beast requires a commitment to his specific breed needs:

Coat Management: His magical fur requires brushing 3–4 times a week and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to prevent painful matting.

Energy Outlets: He will need 60–90 minutes of daily exercise like hiking, fetching, or swimming to keep his inner monster happy.

Brain Work: Labradoodles are highly intelligent and need daily mental stimulation like puzzle toys and structured training to prevent mischievous behavior.

Socialization: Early training is crucial to ensure this giant grows up to be a gentle, confident companion rather than a chaotic force.

🌊Boundary Lines of the Kingdom (Adoption Requirements)
Our team is dedicated to tracking Kraken's progress as he grows, so his forever home must meet the following geographic criteria:

Adopters must reside within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, Ohio.
State Lines: No out-of-state applications please.

If you're interested in Kraken, complete an adoption application here: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html AND email [email protected] upon completion.
