to the simple things.

We have a tendency to get pretty wrapped up in the trivial. Ascribing import to that which doesn't mean all that much, which won't be memorable 5 days from now - let alone 5 years - and drowning in it. Prisoners of places, people, thoughts, things, situations and moments.

Even more so these days.

Perspective isn't the easiest to come by but one of the best ways to happen on it is to remove yourself from the artificial.

Take a walk.

Stop and watch the water fall from time to time.

to a walk in the park.

After a prolonged and locked in sort of winter, getting out of the city and over to these magical lakes was a treat.

The trees aren't quite fully greened out just yet but still absolutely stunning nonetheless and the trails are *immaculately* maintained. Wow. Basically artwork.

A pure joy.

Get there asap and beat the crowds.

(protip: get in there first thing in the morning and you'll feel like you have the place to yourself...silver lining of covid I guess)

to endless isles.

Croatia is a land dripping with islands. 1,244 to be exact. 

And you'd *think* the coast was where you'd have to go to see them all but it turns out they had so many out there that they tossed a few inland.

What you're looking at here is Otok Ljubavi - island of love (lemme know if I got that wrong) - in the 'ol "Zagreb Sea", or Jarun Lake.

Unreal.

I thought this shade of azure water was reserved for the Caribbean or Southeast Asia, turns out Zagreb has it too.

(you'll still find me on the coast this summer though 🤷‍♂️)
