ALL ABOUT ME and MY PRESCHOOL

Hello! My name in Nichole. I am a 42 year old momma. My kiddos are 13, 11.5, and 8.

Creative Minds Preschool main classroom is in our backyard in Irish Downs. I have over 16 years in early education and childcare, CPR and First Aid Certified and many references.

I like to focus on the class room and beyond. With that in mind I prefer a balance between schedule and individual freedom. By allowing time for learners to follow their natural curiosity, we can foster a passion for learning and a strong sense of self.

We will be outside, learning from and in nature often. Learners will have a pollinator garden, and a space to be able to grow some food and flowers to enjoy. We have our own compost and quail to watch grow and learn from.

In addition to presenting and mastering early education basics, working on fine and gross motor skills, we will also explore science, music, art, and lot of books.

I LOVE how science feels like magic and really expands our way of thinking! We will engage in messy experiments! Learners will have to problem solve and crack some of the mysteries of our world.

We will use bells, glockenspiels, keyboards, ukuleles and any number of created instruments in our music journey. Kids will be learning rhythms and how to read sheet music all while having a lot of fun.

Every week will focus on a particular artist and engage in collaborative and individual art projects. Exploring color, light and our creativity.

I also work to include social emotional skills in our community of learners. I help guide them to identify feelings, value themselves, be inclusive, and to have a growth mindset.

With the younger learners currently enrolled, time is more open play and learning opportunites are in many small moments and full of new experiences.

I am honestly so excited to create a beautiful, inspiring place for young learners. And to see the wonder in their faces as they learn and grow.
