Newlin Fire & EMS Support Party A Success!

The Thank Our Fire & EMS Volunteers Party and Fundraiser held Saturday evening at
Natural Lands Trusts Lenfest Center was a success by all standards. Volunteers and their families
from PoMarLin, W Bradford and Modena Fire Companies were treated to a Hoods BBQ dinner and
entertained with music by the band Ole EleFunky while profuse Thank You's for the Volunteers selfless
dedication echoed throughout the evening. Everyone had a great time visiting with friends and
neighbors, enjoying beer donated by Victory Brewing and wine donated by Galer and Borderland Wineries,
and bidding on numerous Silent Auction items. Highlights of the evening included brief comments by
President of PoMarLin FC Richard Hicks, W Bradford Fire Chief Jack Law, and Modena Fire Chief Frank Dowlin,
thanking the community for recognizing the hard work and sacrifice of all the Fire Company Volunteers.
For the fundraiser, one of the most sought after items for sale was a limited edition, signed and numbered print of the
Embreeville Mill by artist Martin May. The evening ended with the announcement of the winner of the raffle, an original oil painting
of the rolling hills of Chester County, painted and donated by artist Janeice Silberman and won by Janet Sidewater.
Quoting an old but true phrase "A good time was had by all."
