Today, we pause to honor the memory of Battalion Chief John Morrison and Battalion Chief Frank J. Harwood, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty one year ago.

Their dedication, courage, and commitment to serving our community will never be forgotten. As fellow first responders on the water, we know the sacrifices made every day by firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, and rescue personnel. We are grateful for those who continue to answer the call.

Our thoughts are also with the families of the firefighters lost in Colorado this week, and we continue to pray for Engineer Dave Tysdal as he recovers.

From the first swimmer entering the lake to the final athlete making it ashore, we’re honored to stand alongside local first responders and volunteers to help make this world-class event possible.
