Our mission is to foster unity and collaboration within the College Point Community
The safety of our community is non-negotiable. On behalf of The College Point Strong Board of Directors, we formally call upon the NYPD and City leadership to immediately address the rise in crime and illegal activity in College Point.
Our parks have become hotspots for drug use, illegal gatherings, and violent altercations. Residents — including children and seniors — deserve to feel safe in their own neighborhood. The fights in broad daylight, the increase in aggressive behavior, and the visible disregard for public safety must come to an end.
We are requesting an increased and consistent police presence throughout College Point, especially near our parks and public gathering spaces. We also urge the City to collaborate with community leaders to develop long-term solutions that restore peace and trust in our streets.
Enough is enough. It’s time to take our community back.

La seguridad de nuestra comunidad no es negociable. En nombre de la Junta Directiva de College Point Strong, solicitamos formalmente al NYPD y a los líderes de la ciudad que atiendan de manera inmediata el aumento de la delincuencia y actividades ilegales en College Point.

Snowstorm Update in College Point
As the snowstorm blankets College Point, Queens, the neighborhood has transformed into a serene winter wonderland. Snow-covered streets glisten under the overcast skies, and the peaceful stillness is a reminder of nature's beauty, even during challenging weather. Trees adorned with fresh snow create a picturesque scene that could easily be mistaken for a postcard.
Current Impacts
Bridges:
George Washington Bridge & Bayonne Bridge: Speed restrictions at 25 mph due to salting operations.
Public Transit:
Buses: Expect delays on local and limited routes in Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn. South Queens routes are experiencing significant delays. Allow extra travel time.
Amtrak: Weather-related signal issues are causing delays between New York and New Haven.
Airports:
JFK Airport: Arriving flights delayed by up to 2.5 hours.
LaGuardia Airport: Arrivals delayed up to 1.5 hours.
Weather Forecast:
Snow accumulation of 2-4 inches is expected for the NYC metro area, with 4-8 inches just north of the city. Snowfall will continue into the evening, with heavier accumulation starting later in the day.
