Although the rest of this week will be hot and sunny, we are tracking above-average precipitation on the way next week.

Looking ahead for this week there won't be too many changes as temperatures stay near seasonal values and skies will be sunny and mostly dry.

Looking forward to another warm and mostly sunny day tomorrow with the slight chance for afternoon mountain showers and storms.

11 Weather Alert: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for the Aspen Acres Burn Scar until 7:00 PM (07/08). Life threatening flash flood is possible around the area. Locations impacted include: Rye, San Isabel, Beulah and Colorado City.

Storm chances increase this afternoon with the slight chance to become severe as they move to the eastern plains.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the Aspen Acres burn scar for Wednesday (07/08) afternoon through the evening.

Although storms are isolated today, coverage will gradually increase through the week.

This week temperatures will be close to seasonal averages all week as we track near daily chances for thunderstorms. Stay tuned!
