“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 NKJV

God determines the number of your days, but you determine how they are spent. The Psalmist said, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Yesterday is a cancelled check, tomorrow is a promissory note, today is all you’ve got. And you can begin your life over today, if you live by these words:

“Today I will delete from my diary two days—yesterday and tomorrow.

Yesterday was for learning; tomorrow will be a consequence of what I do today.

Today I will face life with the conviction that this day will never return, that it may be the last opportunity I’ll have to contribute because there’s no guarantee I’ll see tomorrow.

Today I will be courageous enough not to let opportunity pass me by; my only alternative will be to succeed.

Today I will invest my most valuable resource, my time, into my most important possession, the life God has given me. I’ll spend each minute purposefully, making today a unique opportunity. I’ll tackle each obstacle knowing that with God’s help I can overcome it.

Today I will resist doubt and pessimism and warm my world with a smile. I’ll maintain a strong faith, expect nothing but the best, take time to be happy, see every task as an opportunity to honor the Lord, and endeavor to leave His footprints on the hearts of those I meet.

” John Boykin wrote, “Time is your life—nothing more, nothing less. The way you spend your hours and your days, is the way you spend your life.”

So pray, “Lord, help me to maximize this day.”

God Bless ! Smile Jesus Loves You :)

Living by the Spirit
Galatians 5:13-26 NLT

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters.

But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.

These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: s*xual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.

Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

John 10:10 tells us the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. The enemy’s methods have been the same from the beginning of time. He subtly takes truths and ever so slightly tweaks them into lies.

God’s mandate on obtaining from s*x before marriage is not to limit us, but to free us.

S*x is not immune to these lies. For decades, society has been telling us that cohabitating with those we are not married to is completely acceptable. We are inundated with subtle mistruths convincing us that casual s*x is a healthy thing, and to have multiple partners is merely living life to the full. When faced with the consequences of pre-marital s*x, such as diseases and unplanned pregnancies, we are simply handed “solutions”.

In John 8, there is a story of a woman caught in the very act of adultery. There was no questioning if she was guilty or not. Pulled from the bed into the public square, she was forced to face judgment. In those days, her sentence was clear … death. This is where Jesus stepped in and infamously told the crowd, ‘Whoever is without sin, throw the first stone.’ One by one, the accusers dropped their rocks and left.

After all had left, the woman knelt broken before her savior. He didn’t stay standing but got down in the dirt with her, looked her in the eyes and said, “Go and sin no more.”

He wasn’t telling her to sin no more in order to bind her, or set rules just for the sake of governing her decisions. Instead, He was handing her freedom. Freedom like she had never known.

Satan has used society as his voice for too long. We think living a loose life is a free life, but to the contrary, it is in a Godly life that we experience true liberty.

Maybe you have sought relationship after relationship in hopes to fill the deepest longings of your heart, only to come up short every time. There is no condemnation in His voice. He is there before you, knees in the dust, urging you to go and sin no more!

John 10:10 doesn’t stop there. It goes on to say, “But I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

There is a life of abundance awaiting you on the other side of your obedience. Let today be the day!

“Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
Isaiah 30:21 NIV

One of England’s finest preachers decided because of his wife’s failing health not to go to America and speak at an important conference. Although he’d purchased his ticket, the ship sailed without him, and J. Stuart Holden missed a golden opportunity in the prime of his preaching career.

A devoted husband, he gave himself to caring for his wife and tried not think of what he was missing on the other side of the Atlantic. The truth is we’re too easily disappointed when our plans fall through; too easily discouraged when “great career opportunities” are missed, and our complaining proves that we don’t know God like we say we do. Delay is often the protective hand of our heavenly Father. It certainly was for Holden, who resolved never again to question God’s timing. Why? Because the unused ticket he held reserved his passage on the new “unsinkable” luxury liner—RMS Titanic.

There’s so much talk in the church today about self-help, that God’s providence and guidance is seldom mentioned. But the bottom line is: We don’t decide God’s plan for our lives—we discover it. Much of the time we don’t understand how He leads us, and it’s only in retrospect that we see His hand at work. Paul wrote, “When I go to Spain, I hope to visit you” (Ro 15:24 NIV). But he never made it; instead he ended up in prison. But it was from there that he wrote the Epistles. So here’s the question: If you really believe God is directing your steps—why are you questioning, doubting, and complaining?
