For the first time (as far as I know) in my 20+ years as a journalist, my story has been translated into Spanish.

To reach more readers around the country, The State Newspaper, with the help of a colleague at the Miami Herald, created a Spanish version of my story about the discovery of a new deadly “designer drug” in South Carolina.

That’s the opioid cychlorphine, or “ciclorfina.” Below is the translated story.
