This morning, Edward D. Harbison joined an inspiring group of women at the Women’s Empowerment Walk at Peachtree Mall.

The energy, encouragement and unity on display were a powerful reminder that when women are supported, families grow stronger and communities thrive.

Strengthening families and connecting communities to opportunity has been the focus of Edward’s life’s work and it remains a central part of his vision for Georgia Senate District 15.

Thank you to the organizers and everyone who showed up to walk, encourage and uplift one another. Strong communities are built exactly this way.

3.6.26 Historic Moment of Service

Yesterday was an important and humbling day.

Edward D. Harbison officially qualified as a candidate for the Georgia State Senate representing District 15.

For more than three decades, Senator Ed Harbison has faithfully served the people of this district with integrity, leadership and an unwavering commitment to community. His legacy of service has helped shape opportunities for families across West Georgia and the Chattahoochee Valley.

Now Edward is stepping forward to continue that tradition of public service.

A United States Air Force veteran, public policy specialist and longtime community advocate, Edward has spent more than two decades working on initiatives that strengthen families, expand opportunity and connect communities with resources across the State of Georgia.

Edward believes that strong communities begin with strong families, and he is committed to working for the people of Senate District 15 to expand economic opportunity, strengthen healthcare access, support veterans, invest in infrastructure and champion education.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Edward during qualifying. The journey continues and we look forward to engaging communities across District 15 in the weeks ahead.

Together, we will continue building stronger families for a stronger Georgia.

Edward D. Harbison is a public policy specialist, U.S. Air Force veteran and lifelong public servant dedicated to strengthening Georgia’s families and communities.

For more than two decades, Edward has worked with statewide strategic planning and community outreach initiatives across Georgia’s 159 counties, helping connect families with resources in healthcare, financial planning, insurance and community development. His work has focused on one core belief: stronger families build a stronger Georgia.

Edward also serves as Chief Financial Officer, Human Resources Director and Public Policy Specialist for Harbison Covenant Healthcare Institute, a medical practice he helped establish with his wife, an OB-GYN physician. Through this work, Edward helps oversee operations, strategic planning and community outreach initiatives designed to expand healthcare access and improve health outcomes for families in the community.

Edward proudly served in the United States Air Force Aeromedical Evacuation Command as a flight nurse and pararescueman supporting Special Operations Command, Air Combat Command and Strategic Air Command.

He attended Tuskegee University and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Edward has been recognized for his work in public service with the Governor’s Public Service Award for Strategic Community Outreach, the Georgia Department of Human Services DCSS Impact Award and a Georgia Senate Proclamation for his leadership in community initiatives.

Edward is a husband, father of two and a dedicated public servant with 26 years of federal military service and service with the State of Georgia.

His priorities include:

• Supporting Georgia agriculture
• Advancing renewable energy solutions
