A feast without God is empty, Friendsgiving is a mask for forgetfulness and worldly desire.

Thanksgiving was one of the first true celebrations on this land—a day set apart to honor the God who provides seed for the sower, bread for the hungry, and every good gift for mankind. It was meant to remind us that the earth and its fullness belong to the Lord, and that all we have is given by His gracious hand.

Yet slowly—and now quickly—we have drifted. The world has dimmed the meaning of Thanksgiving, pushing aside gratitude to God and replacing it with the noise of earthly desires of materialism and monetary over what He has done. Christmas decorations rise before Thanksgiving even arrives, not to exalt Christ, but to chase the world’s traditions. And in our hurry to keep up, being left out we forget the One who sustains us.

This forgetfulness is not harmless. It is a symptom of a people who fear missing out on the world more than missing the presence of God. “YOLO” and the fear of missing out are lies of the enemy—bait to draw hearts away from the Giver and toward the glitter of temporary things. Too many have tasted from the devil’s table as they suck down the fool-aid of evil neglecting the perfect promises, provision, and peace offered by God.

So let this be a memorial—a call back to true Thanksgiving.
A reminder to pause.
To remember.
To return our hearts to the Lord who has never stopped giving, never stopped providing, and never stopped loving His people.

May we once again celebrate with gratitude, humility, and worship—acknowledging that everything we have has come from the hand of our faithful God. I praise you and I love you. You are The Great God ! You are my king, King Jesus. Behold the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world.
