This video provides a great explanation about our and why it's so important in our work to confront the country's challenge.
The PFAS Annihilator is a scalable, lifecycle solution for . is breaking the strongest bond in chemistry using supercritical water oxidation . It uses high temperature and pressure to effectively destroy PFAS in contaminated , and Aqueous Film Forming Foam to non-detectable levels in seconds with PFAS-free water remaining.

Today we’d like you to meet Terrance Walsh, a Revive Environmental Application Engineer. Terrance develops water treatment solutions that take into account the needs of the customer, translating requirements and capabilities into final solutions. The Atlanta native has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech University in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
The Eagle Scout loves backpacking, reading and spending time outdoors—he takes at least one big backpacking trip every year and is looking forward to seeing the Grand Canyon later this year.
He spent the last decade working on water treatment for the oil and gas industry, the last two years of which working on PFAS treatment solution that had to do with adsorption, not destruction. “The big appeal to come to Revive was that I am getting in on the ground floor of a company that has financial backing,” he said. “We have a technology that I feel has a really good chance of being successful. It’s new and exciting. I’m driven by water treatment challenges. I love learning how those problems are worked out. There was so much to love at Revive.”

This is a great read in the New Hampshire Bulletin about a new contract that state has with Revive Environmental to remove and dispose of 10,000 gallons of aqueous film-forming foam through a takeback program with municipal fire departments. We'll be using our to in the firefighting foams.
“Frankly we’re excited,” said Mike Wimsatt, Waste Management Division director at New Hampshire's Department of Environmental Services. “We’re glad we’ve identified this technology. This will be the first takeback program that will send AFFF to this facility for destruction.”

NH is first state to partner with ‘PFAS Annihilator’ to destroy firefighting foams – New Hampshire Bulletin In 2019, the state of New Hampshire banned firefighting foams containing PFAS chemicals, as mounting evidence linked the widely used fire suppressant to higher cancer rates among firefighters and contamination of drinking water. And yet, fire departments around the state are still storing these now-...

At , we all work together for the common purpose of destroying unwanted PFAS from our environment. Brendan Brosnahan is an Automation Engineer with an Electrical Engineering degree from The Ohio State University. The Columbus native has experience working on high-pressure die casting controls and at a chemical plant; he was attracted to join Revive because of the new technology. “I’ve worked with many processes, but not with such a large-scale process as the PFAS Annihilator,” he said. “The opportunity to learn is what motivates me. In former jobs, the challenges were well-known, but at Revive we are paving our own path.”
Brendan learned about America’s PFAS challenge from the 2019 movie Dark Waters about the true story of attorney (and OSU alum) Robert Bilott and his fight against PFAS pollution. Now, he’s all in. “The effects of PFAS are so widespread,” he said. “It’s great to know we can destroy something and it’s gone and can’t cause any harm to anyone at that point. I believe in this technology and this mission to destroy PFAS. That was the appeal of coming to Revive.”

We’d like to introduce you to Steve Wieringa, a Revive Environmental Field Site Manager from the Chicago area. He attended Calvin University in Grand Rapids where he studied world history and secondary education. So how’d he get to a career in environmental restoration? “I went to Japan for a year with my wife to teach English, and when we moved back to Chicago and I knew some people who worked for an environmental company and I did it for a job and ended up doing it for 17 years as a technician, foreman, supervisor and then into the front office and ended up having the account for the city of Chicago,” he said.
Steve worked on the Kalamazoo River oil spill cleanup managing transportation and disposal and also worked as an operations manager. Then, he heard about Revive. “This was an interesting opportunity,” he said. “The timing was good. I was installing PFAS filtration systems and the opportunity at Revive was the next step for me. Plus, this technology is better than filtration. Total destruction of PFAS is great.”
He says that being on the team to clean up our country’s PFAS mess is important to him. “Problem solving is part of my driver,” he said. “I love being with a new company that is going to expand rapidly. I want to help it grow and continue.”
