We don’t beat addiction by will power. We beat addiction by submitting to a process that works on us and in doing so, we are empowered to beat addiction!

I love this gentleman! Each Sunday that we get to meet, God is present and turns our fellowship into an impromptu AA meeting! James Berry is a graduate of Destiny Center for Recovery which was the last house on the block for him! Today, he is experiencing 6 years clean and sober and does it by 1) Continuously establishing his relationship with God through prayer 2) Reading both the basic text of AA and the true Big Book; the Bible 3) Going to AA meetings weekly and Church weekly 4) He has taken each of the 12 Steps and lives in steps 10, 11 and 12 and 5) He attempts to help others who are still sick and suffering.

I’m Godly proud of you James! Keep up the great work sir! As we discuss often, your world needs you and needs to know, through your example, that there is no better life than a life surrendered and lived in recovery!

A great destiny is not a matter of chance but a matter of right choices!
