It’s the little things that matter. Also the correct little thing. Dryer vents can be a common point of entry that gets overlooked because people feel mice aren’t getting in those plastic multi piece dryer vents. Which by the way are weak, flemzy, and break easily. Mice very easily get into these locations.
Was able to stop a point of entry for this client by installing a real rodent proof dryer vent cover. Made from galvanized steel with a light magnet on it to keep it closed but still allow the air flow to push it open to allow the air to exit the vent. Once the dryer shuts off the door automatically shuts and magnetizes back to itself. This ensures rodents are not entering whenever they want.

Here are some tips for safely handling wildlife encounters:

1. **Stay Calm**: If you spot a bat or other wildlife, try to stay calm. Sudden movements may startle the animal.

2. **Observe from a Distance**: Enjoy the moment from a safe distance. Getting too close can stress the animal and might provoke it.

3. **Avoid Touching**: If you see a bat or wild animal, do not attempt to touch or capture it. Bats can carry diseases, and handling them requires specialized training.

4. **Contact Professionals**: If a bat is in an inconvenient location, contact a professional wildlife removal service. They can safely and humanely relocate the animal.

5. **Educate Yourself**: Learning about local wildlife can help you understand their behaviors and the best ways to coexist safely.

Bats play an important role in the ecosystem by controlling insect populations. Let’s protect our friends!
