We have been away this month while my life partner, Michael, is being treated for APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia). This has been quite the shock to us both personally and professionally. THIS item was posted a while ago in a group asking: "May I write in the county and state to this document?"

YES! ABSOLUTELY! THIS is the VENUE, and is REQUIRED on EVERY Notarial Certificate in Ohio. You MUST record both the State and County *where you are sitting AT THE TIME of the Notarization* (NOT where the property is located, which may be different!).

ALSO missing is the NAME of the signer, which can be added after the date: "Sworn to and subscribed before me this __ day of __, BY John Q Public."

These are the DETAILS that invalidate your Certs, causing not only funding delays and filing kickbacks, but CLOSING FAILURES.
