I had a great time on the Four Hundred and Nineteen Podcast talking about film. I get asked quite often why I love acting and for years I've always given the same answer. That "I love the art of acting." But that is a broad term, so I'd like to give some specific examples.

I've always loved entertaining and making people smile. As a kid they couldn't get me to stop! Then as an adult I realized that I enjoy bringing a positive energy to the people around me and entertaining is a great way to do it.

Once I started getting into acting I found that there is so much to learn. That was an added draw since I love the thrill of diving into a new topic. Peoples behaviors change, pop culture changes, technology changes. I quickly discovered that like society, acting also grows and changes over time and can be a life long learning opportunity. I've learned skills i never thought I would, Its helped put a lot of things in perspective in my own life, and it encourages me to maintain a growth mindset. Because one thing I've discovered is that we all have our own arcs and we can always try to be better.

To avoid writing an entire essay, I'll wrap up with my favorite part of acting.

The Collaboration.

This is the best part of acting, hands down. Being on set, in the moment. The thrill of so many people all coming together to make something bigger than themselves.The problem solving for when something (inevitably) goes wrong. It's a great example of how when we come together as people, anything is possible.❤️
