People that know me know I don’t really share personal stuff on social media, but I’m making an exception today because of the significance of this day. April 9, 2013 my son Elijah was born, and 3 years later he was called home. Around that same time, I found strongman, or maybe strongman found me. My faith, my family, my circle, and this sport helped carry me through one of the hardest seasons of my life. Even now, it’s a big part of who I am. That’s why it’s personal and why I don’t talk about it much.

Every year I choose one thing to honor Elijah’s memory. This year, quietly and under the radar, I decided to compete again for a spot at Masters Nationals and the Arnold Invitational. Well, several hours and five events later, we in there. God is something else.

Tinishia Davidson-Fitzpatrick rocks with me every time I compete and makes sure I don’t get hurt 😂 love you. Matt Powell, thank you for introducing me to strongman we may fuss and carry on but hey it wouldn’t be us if we didn’t 😂😂😂That said, We got work to do. “On to the next one.”
