GEDitCOM II Software -Genealogy Software for the Mac

I just posted version 3.2 with lots of new features and a feature (which was useful to me) to automate web searches into FamilySearch.org data bases. GEDitCOM II will tell you new version is available or go to https://www.geditcom.com for the download (also recently updated to https status).

I just posted a quick update to GEDitCOM II, version 3.1, build 3. It turns out build 2 had display issues in the recent MacOS update to Sonoma 14.3.1 (and I think only that version). This new posting fixes all known Sonoma issues and is recommended even if build 2 is working for you in an older MacOS.

I just posted official release of GEDitCOM II, version 3.1. Although it is called "build 2," it is the first posted version 3.1 (build 1 was only made available to some testers). This version was built and tested in MacOS Sonoma and requires MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or newer.

Many little changes are in the "What's New" topic of the Help window. One change is to be "smarter" about opening windows. I found myself having too many open record browsers. This new version keeps record browser windows to a minimum. Some documentation in help lets you revert to old style if you want (or just hold down option key whenever you want more windows to open).

I also added more options for internal scripting and the Web Site export script was rewritten as an internal script using those new options. the new web site export is much faster and includes more multimedia that was ignored before.

I just posted 2.7, build 4. The only change in build 4 is that build 3 was not able to tell users of build 2 that a new version was available. Build 4 fixes that issue.
