This new years eve definitely looks different from years past but I know I can always rely on one very important thing -- tradition.
-
Toshikoshi soba is eaten on new years eve as a way to welcome the new year in Japan. The recipe I make every year is the same one I saw my grandma make every year as a child -- chicken broth, shrimp tempura, and a few other garnishes.
-
2020 was definitely a challenge and I know 2021 will come with its own challenges. But I know we can get through it all so long as we continue to be kind to one another and do our part to keep our communities safe.
-
Cheers my family. Celebrate fully...celebrate safely...and thank you for your continuous support as we head into 2021.

Yes Aubrie...I feel you.

During the last few months all I could do was complain about how my workspace was not ideal for designing, creating, and packing orders but now...I sorta miss this chaotic scene at our old place.
-
It represented the "growing pain" stage of my business that I (at times) never thought I would reach. I should have embraced the "I really need more space to do this operation" moment instead of feeling frustration. But hey, hindsight is always 20/20 right?
-
And now, I REALLY miss my old space because there was a spot for to supervise me in such a cute way. Looks like I might need to rethink my office layout at the new place so she can continue to do this.
-
And I really miss this space because I currently....don't have a space because we still need the movers to move my work benches over. 😂

There's still some time to get these in time for Christmas!

P.S. sorry for being MIA! Honestly, I've been feeling stressed and a little overwhelmed by moving into our new place and trying to stay positive given how much our country is struggling to control COVID. We haven't seen our families in over a year and honestly, the way things are going I'm not sure when we will be able to visit them again. 😫 With all the feelings I've been having it's been hard to show up for my IG stories. The guilt I feel about not being as present and consistent with social media has also been making me think more about how f***ed up the expectation is for small business owners who rely on social media to help boost their visibility. *Sigh* anyways, end rant/thought dump. For those who read all the way through...THANK YOU! I hope I will have more fun/happy things to show you soon!

Let's show these more love!
-
I was scrolling through my feed and realized I've barely featured these pretty ""Happy Holidays"" gift tags. 🤦🏻
-
For those of you savvy consumers who have purchased holiday gifts from local small businesses, don't forget the gift tags! And while you're at it, might as well get those from a small, female-owned business as well right? These beauties are all cut and assembled by hand with a lot of love and care.
-
P.S. Did you know? Most of my packaging is recyclable/compostable and made from post consumer content.

Holiday gift giving in 2020 means....individually wrapped baked goods...and probably more physical gifts versus dinner parties.
-
This is why I wanted to also design gift tags this season to make it easier for you to make your gifts festive and IG-worthy.
-
Like this look? It's super easy to achieve if you're planning on gifting cupcakes, or anything packaged in a box! Grab a box from or along with festive twine and some small decorative ornaments from and you're done! Super easy! Oh, and duh, our holiday gift tags! Each one is handmade and handlettered so your gift recipients will feel SUPER SPECIAL.
