This is it! One more day until the BIG day! Everything is completed, packed and ready to go! The only thing that I could use is an end to this rainy weather.

Thanks to all the scouts who came out and helped with my first workday! The puppet theater is built! Special thanks to Chris "Uncle Gadget" Ryan for hosting the workday, providing the cool tools and lending his expertise to the project. Next step: painting the puppet theater!

It's been another amazing week with donations! Thank you to everyone who has contributed socks, water bottles and snack items. I even received items in the mail this week for my project!

Many of you have asked how you can help...

Items Needed:
* I am still collecting socks for the children CURE serves when they are going through their treatments. CURE serves newborns - 21 years of age. Anything cute, comfortable and kid friendly - all sizes needed.
* I still need water bottles and snack items for care packages for parents when they are at the hospital. Snack items include individual servings of chips, pretzels, fruit cups, pudding cups, granola bars, cookies, crackers, individual servings of microwaveable soup and pasta.

How to get the items to me:
* If you are in Troop 597, you can bring items to me on Tuesday nights when we meet.
* If you attend Prince of Peace, I am at Life Teen every Sunday night, and would gladly accept items. The preschool at Prince of Peace has been accepting donations for the project. The best time to drop off items at the preschool are between the hours of 9:30-noon.
* If you live in the Dacula/Hamilton Mill area, items can be dropped off at my house.
* If you live out of town but would like to send something, please let me know and I will get you my address.

Thank you for your generosity! - Alex
