Today marks the beginning of The Dotted Line DFW's 2nd year in business. As I reflect on the last year, I am full of gratitude.

It is a scary thing to step outside of one's comfort zone, go out on a limb and give it your best shot. That is why some of us wait years to pursue a dream--or don't do it at all.. It's a vulnerable and humbling thing to ask for someone's business. I never found that type of thing easy at all, but I've done it.

In the last year, we have completed approximately 400 signings for 11 different title companies, 1 lender client., 22 Escrow Officers. We have completed signings on-site, in locations far and wide across the metroplex, for lake properties in East Texas, a Colorado signing, buyers, sellers, borrowers, investors. We are vetted and approved to conduct signings for National Title Group, Republic Title, Capital Title, Expetitle, etc. Our title "call back" rate is 0.005%. We aren't perfect, but we are close 🙂 Our goal every time is to not hear from the title company after a signing unless they are requesting the next one.

I can't think of a single signer that wasn't kind, interesting and gracious. I have enjoyed spending a little bit of time with each of them—and, their kids.

I apologive for the lengthy "State of the Union," but I am proud and grateful to begin this 2nd year of living a dream.

Over the last 10 months, The Dotted Line DFW has generated 200 invoices which represents 250+ signings.

I have thought about being a mobile notary for years. As a former Escrow Officer, every time I had an issue with a notary error, I would say out loud, "I should start a mobile notary business." It was a fun, exciting idea to talk and think about. But, that's as far as it went.

When really doing it and creating an actual business began to look more like reality, I became terrified. I felt like my feet were in concrete, and I had trouble making decisions and taking action toward my dream. But, with Kathy's excitement and the encouragement of friends, I started to inch forward.

It was a risk for sure. It was hard to leave a steady income behind and march into unknown territory. I am so happy I mustered the courage. Thank you to all of those who have supported us and The Dotted Line along the way! You may never know the impact of your love and positivity, but we do. And, we won't forget!
