Grief doesn’t just live inside one person.
It shows up in the relationship too.
One of you might want to talk about it constantly.
The other might not have the words yet.
One of you might feel everything all at once.
The other might shut down just to get through the day.
And somewhere in that, it can start to feel like:
“Why aren’t we on the same page?”
But grief was never meant to look the same for two people.
Different doesn’t mean disconnected.
Different doesn’t mean you don’t care.
Different doesn’t mean the relationship is failing.
It usually just means… both people are hurting in their own way.
The work is not to grieve the same.
The work is learning how to stay emotionally connected while grieving differently.
Sometimes that starts with something as simple as:
“Help me understand what this feels like for you today.”

A little get to know me moment 🤎
I’m a down-to-earth millennial therapist. But I’m a real person underneath the credentials living for the first time just like every one else.
Sometimes I’m more anxious than I care to admit and honestly social media is still way outside my comfort zone… so don’t judge me 😬
I really believe healing should show up in your real life, not just sound good in session.
Anyone who really knows me knows I’m BIG on speaking up!
I’m also huge on taking the PTO, protecting your peace, trusting the patterns, and helping people stop shrinking in their relationships.
Honestly, the way I approach therapy is the same way I approach life: with honesty, curiosity, boundaries, alot of compassion, and radical acceptance.
If you made it to the last slide, tell me which one sounded the most like you 🤎

A lot of couples do not actually have a conflict problem. They have an unstructured conflict problem. Rules for fighting fair change everything.

Many people don’t realize they have mental health support built into their jobs.
Two benefits I see clients overlook all the time:
• EAP (free therapy sessions)
• FMLA (protected leave for mental health)
If you’re overwhelmed, burned out, grieving, or navigating a difficult life transition, these resources can help create space for healing.
Your mental health matters.
