So we're into day one of "The Revival", haven't heard yet how it's going at Opening Bell but we've had a nice attentive crowd here tonight so far checking out some original local live music. Me personally I'd like to do this quarterly. It starts somewhere, it has to. And if it's me that has to organize it, I'll organize it. If Opening Bell is in to roll round two in say early April we'll do it again, and if more venues want to jump on the band wagon please do hit me up. And please know this, you don't have to be a spot that features live music full time. I spent half a dozen years or so as a stage manager and sound engineer for SXSW, the number of spots that feature live music during SXSW but don't at any other time of the year grows drastically during SXSW so I'm kinda working with those parameters in mind. You don't have to commit full time to being a place that features live music, just for 3 or 4 days every 3 months or so. Yes, it will be a ticketed event and a door person will be involved for the span of the event, yes it will be all local acts and all original material (we will not provide you with performers to play cover songs to your patrons) not what any of this is about. We're looking for partners in keeping the local original music scene alive. We absolutely don't want to be the last venue standing that is 100% original music only, the uptick in emails from both local acts and touring acts given some recent venue closures is quite frankly already becoming more than we can absorb and give bands dates to play, I could be fully booked through 2024 and into 2025 already. It's a wonderful problem to have as a venue owner, it's just too much traffic all at once for one dude to wade through and try and put the best possible shows together. I need more stages to put musicians on, that simple. So I'm putting on a hat I haven't worn in a while and starting a new venture where I'm dipping my toes into being a booking entity for not only my own venue but others as well, not only in the DFW area but back in my initial Austin area stomping grounds. I'll hopefully be bringing in some names you may recognize as associates on all this, much mischief is afoot in 2024. This is just the beginning!

"Live Music Revival" brings 4 days of local music to Six Springs Tavern and Opening Bell Over 30 local artists will take the stage at Six Springs Tavern and Opening Bell Coffee this weekend in an effort to jumpstart 2024 with a 4-day event, Live Music Revival.

Super excited to have my dear friend and amazing musician Patrice Pike back on our stage Saturday night! From what I understand she's bringing a big ole all start band along with her. Always a great night of music when she rolls through. The always amazing Sunny Disposition along with Sevigh from Denton kick things off.
Hard to believe she hasn't been on our stage since March, that's just too long!
