I figured that I'd practice a wee bit, since we're in the throes of The Great Texas Snowmageddon.
I previously posted a video of myself playing this rhythm on two congas...gotta learn it on three.
This rhythm is often played in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and a few other places in Latin America.
Fun Fact: "A Caballo" translates to "On Horseback".
Today, I'm revisiting a rhythm that I have previously posted, but at the time, I was playing two congas.
Now, Im playing three.
Today's rhythm is Timba, a derivative of Cuban folkloric music and sacred Santeria
HEAR THIS, MORTALS OF BISHOP ARTS.
The hour draws near.
The air trembles. The groove awakens.
Our return to the Bishop Arts District is IMMINENT, and resistance will be… rhythmically futile.
