Wrapping up National Pharmacy Week thankful for our amazing crew that works day in and day out to support our patients and our entire team!

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month and our friends at Blue Caboose for Cystic Fibrosis are spreading on all aspects of the disease, treatment, and managing infections. Our team was able to give them a look at what goes into supplying a patient with antibiotics for home infusion from the pharmacy perspective. We also learned more about CF. Did you know that CF is the most common rare disease in America without government funding for treatments??

Thanks to Medix Infusion, we get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to fill an order of IV antibiotics. Here is a look at a pharmacy clean room, one day of 2x/daily supplies, and one week of supplies! Most CF antibiotics are 3x/daily and can last 3 weeks.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women on ! This year’s theme highlights the impact women and girls worldwide have had as healthcare workers, caregivers, innovators, and community organizers during the pandemic. We could not agree more. They have gone above and beyond for our patients, their families, and each other during these trying times. The future is bright!
