Providing Human Readable Insights Through Data
Pawpaw Analytics is the work of Kent Orr who splits his time between being a Master’s student at Ohio University, being the Executive Director for SE Ohio nonprofit Rising Appalachia, and poring over data sets from surveys, transactions logs, and census reports to try and find what makes the world tick. He’s a Texas transplant in Appalachia and fell in love with the quiet hills and brick road towns on sight. He’ll name most any tree you can point out, and is no stranger to a backpack or paddle.
A strong part of that love for the hills shows itself in giving back to the community. In addition to his job for a local non profit, Kent is strong proponent of the local economy. Pawpaw Analytics was started as a means of combining a (rather odd) passion for crunching numbers with fulfilling a need for quality information analysis to help local small businesses chart a path to success.
