I’m not ready for another week of craziness at work but I’m trying to stay positive. At least we have a day hike planned this coming weekend so I have something fun to look forward too!
How do you guys deal with stress??

I need a roadtrip soooo badly I can taste it! We’re trying to figure out anniversary plans for November but I think I need to squeeze in a quick little getaway with the boys! Fingers crossed I can make something work!

The thrill of the hike… not
I’ve come to realize I do not enjoy the physical hardship that comes from hiking. The elevation in Colorado, which is where we usually go, is so hard on me. Granted I’m out of shape… but I’m also such an impatient person. I want to hurry up and get to the spot to enjoy it. I want to soak up as much time at the destination that I get annoyed at how long it takes. This photo is not a glorified summit photo. It’s me wanting to kill .collie yet again for some long ass hike that’s killing me. Yet, this very true moment caught in time is a gem. In this moment she captured Bandit and I soaking in the sights of where we were going and how far we had already gone. She captured me wondering why I put myself through this… knowing very well the answer to that is standing at the end of my leash. Idk… just my little reminder to not get so caught up in the destination that you miss out on all that’s directly in front of you 🤍
