Weird— Facebook just notified me that my wine pages are no longer being recommended. Not that I’ve done anything with them lately since I can’t drink like I used to anymore due to health reasons.
This story hits close to home, because if you run a small biz, especially in the wine, beer, or spirits world, you know how much Facebook and Instagram are your lifeline. Then out of the blue, Meta drops this bomb: your page’s not being recommended anymore. No warning, no reason, just silence. Imagine working your butt off to build a community, only to wake up and find your reach cut off like a switch flipped.

And here’s the kicker—Facebook’s email says you didn’t follow the rules, but no one knows what rules. No violations listed, no way to fight back. It’s like being accused of something without a chance to defend yourself. Meanwhile, your business is left in the dark, struggling to stay alive on a platform that used to be your best friend.

This isn’t just about algorithms—it's about trust. It’s about feeling like the ground shifted under your feet overnight. And the worst part? Many of us are still trying to figure out why.
