Happy first heavenly birthday to my granny. I miss you so much. I miss hearing your voice, and your random calls throughout the day just checking on me and letting me know that you were there for me. But I mostly just miss my best friend. Taking you to your appointments every week, and talking to you about EVERYTHING. You are still truly one of one. I love and miss you. Happy birthday granny. Wow. It’s really been ten years since you were called home. It still feels like yesterday since I lost you, and although I am sad that you aren’t here, I’m grateful for the man that you were to my family. In only 15 years, you showed me the importance of being a man, and what it meant to love fully, just like you did. You were truly a man after Gods own heart, and I am so glad you received your reward. I can still feel your love, I can still hear your voice, and I can still remember your laugh. I will never forget what you were/are to me. When I’ve wanted to give up, I’ve heard you in my head saying don’t give up. Like you always used to tell me, “son, never settle for average, always strive for greatness.” And because of you that’s what I will continue to do. I hope I have made you proud, and I hope that I am carrying your legacy well. Thanks for everything pops. Continue to rest in the arms of our God. I love you💙💙
