This isn’t just about Harvard. From ignoring court orders to return a family man illegally deported to threatening economic stability with tariff swings, the unpredictability is real—and it’s hitting close to home.

What Harvard could lose in its battle with the Trump administration Trump on Tuesday threatened the school’s tax exempt status, and a $2.2 billion freeze on grants kicked in. Harvard borrowed money in anticipation of cuts.

This week has been a difficult one for many of our partners (employees). On a positive note, I had the opportunity to meet Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol and talk about where we’re headed. Through the ups and downs, one thing is clear—our partners, our customers, and our commitment to great coffee will always be at the heart of what we do. We also talked about my work in government affairs here in Texas and the important role it plays in shaping the future of our business.

The road ahead won’t be without challenges, but after this conversation, I’m inspired and more confident than ever that the best days for Starbucks are still brewing.
