One of the tools we use at Kirchem Creative to ensure a high quality, professional product is shooting footage 🎥 in LOG (logarithmic mapping of image data). Simply put, LOG records a very flat image on the camera’s sensor while capturing lots of extra visual data that can be revealed in post-production 🖥️ color grading. This technique is used especially when filming a subject in front of a brighter ☀️background (like the situation shown below), as it retains visual details in the brighter and darker parts of the image. It’s one of the many techniques we incorporate in creating a memorable marketing video 👍.
