Meet adoptable Maxie, a 4 year old, 8 lb little scruff with a very big fan club. He is dog friendly, very friendly with humans, and is a total scruffalafagus - even his eyebrows and whiskers have scruff!

Maxie has also done really well while meeting strangers, particularly kids! He let them pet him with no issues and handled the attention like a pro. His foster notes that when children approached politely, Maxie was happy to soak up the love.

GLOW UP! Marley got a haircut thanks to , and yes, he somehow got even cuter.

Meet adoptable Marley, an 8 year old, 73 lb love bug who really knows how to meet the moment. If you are having a quiet day at home, Marley is more than happy to curl up beside you with his head in your lap and nap the day away. If it is time for long walks, fetch, and adventure, he is right there with you, toy in mouth and ready to play like a much younger dog.

Marley had a big weekend at our adoption event and was an absolute star. He met so many new people and warmed up to everyone right away, happily leaning in for pets and soaking up all the love. He also met several children for the first time and did fantastically. One child sat down beneath him and Marley immediately lowered himself to their level for pets, hugs, and attention.

His foster says Marley is such an amazing pup because he really matches the energy of the home. He is warm, gentle, and puts snuggles over everything. Lately, their favorite Marley habit is what he does after every meal: he rubs his face with both front paws and snuggles his whole head into his bed like he is tucking himself in. It is as cute as it sounds.

Meet adoptable Andrew, a 3 year old, 20 lb Chihuahua mix with an adorable resting frowny face and butt sit. We think it’s the perfect combo!

We might be a little biased, but we think he’s perfect - he truly loves all humans, whether it’s a first-time meet and greet or a bestie he’s known for a long time. He is curious, friendly, and happy to make new friends, especially if they are calm, have treats, and are ready to hand out some attention. He has happily gone home with friends for a few hours, made himself comfortable right away, and curled up for cuddles like he had known them forever.

Andrew has also done well with dogs, particularly indoors. He has settled in nicely with other dogs in the home, and after a little time to get acquainted, he has played, napped, and walked alongside them just fine. He’s a smart pup that’s learned a lot in a short period of time!

“Hi, I’m Fozzie. Are you my new family?”

Meet adoptable Fozzie, a 3 month old, 9 lb Labrador Retriever mix who is ready for his forever home. He, his mama, and his siblings were rescued from the shelter when he was still just a tiny baby, and now that they have all grown up a bit, it is time for Fozzie to find a family of his own.

Fozzie is good with dogs, good with people, and learning life skills quickly. He is at that fun puppy stage where everything is new, and he is taking it all in as he grows. Now, he just needs a forever home.

Meet adoptable Sesame, a 5 month old, 25 lb retriever mix who really might be the perfect puppy. She is soft, cuddly, curious, and so ready to be everyone’s new best friend. With people, Sesame’s move is basically immediate trust fall, straight into your arms for belly rubs, kisses, and cuddles.

She has also done beautifully with every dog she has met so far. Sesame immediately wanted to play with the resident dog in her foster home, but she has also been respectful when the other pup wanted her own space. On the street, she has either ignored other dogs or greeted them nicely with a sniff and a little play.

Sesame is listening well, taking in the world around her, and generally being the kind of puppy who makes you say, okay, yes, this one is special. You can meet Sesame tomorrow at our adoption event at Kings County Distillery, 299 Sands Street, Brooklyn, NY 11205.
