The Mayfair Building at The East Texas State Fair was built in 1927 as a multipurpose venue referred to as the "Opera House". This stage has hosted well known performers such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton.
The City of Tyler voted to accept a grant from the Texas Historical Commission CLG Grants to fund the Mayfair National Historic Landmark Nomination.
We can’t wait to see what it looks like when the renovation is complete! God Bless Texas. 🤠
