We are so thankful for Nicki Johnson and Smoking Dragon Mahjong (pictured second from the left of the first image). Nicki is volunteering her time to our two mahjong fundraisers this year (June and July 2026). She is a Dallas based mahjong instructor and owner of The Smoking Dragon Mahjong Parlor, located at Dragonbone, her family farm in Decatur, TX.

For twenty years it was a private retreat just for friends and family, but mahjong inspired her to open the doors
to the public for the first time. She loves nothing more than spreading Mahjong Magic!

Wife to Jeff and mom to Noel, Nicki also worked for over twenty-five years in the film industry. While Jeff is still out there making movies, she retired from production to focus on raising their amazing daughter and is now enjoying her new adventures with mahjong. She hopes it brings as much joy, community, and connection to your life as it has hers.

We are so excited to bring Mahjong to our alumni events this year. We hope that you come out to our final mahjong fundraiser of the year. If well received, we will try to incorporate other mahjong socials into our calendar of events. Let us know your thoughts! 🤘

Our group tickets were claimed super fast by those subscribed to DTE’s Eventbrite (only alert that went out was via Eventbrite to subscribers as soon as we posted it - subscribe now at link in bio!)

Our alumni went out at the end of June during Universal’s preview days, and it sounds like everyone had a blast visiting the attractions, even on a hot summer day.
