A rainy Texas day has me mentally back in the Costa Rican cloud forest…

There are some travel experiences that don’t just feel like a place — they feel like another world entirely.

Treetopia in Costa Rica was one of those moments. Mist in the trees, suspension bridges disappearing into the clouds, and that deep green kind of magic you can’t fully explain until you’re standing inside it.

And then the cloud forest really showed off… we saw a three-wattled bellbird, which is incredibly special because they are much more commonly heard than seen. We also heard a resplendent quetzal and caught it flying off — another rare little gift from the forest.

So today, while Texas is rainy and gray, I’m dreaming of this exact kind of immersive, soul-reset travel.

Costa Rica, you are something else. 🌿

Not all who wander are lost… but I fully plan to be in Africa. 🌍✨

Give me the golden sunsets, the wild landscapes, the vibrant markets, the once-in-a-lifetime moments that don’t fit neatly into an itinerary. Africa has been sitting high on my list for a reason — not just for the destinations, but for the feeling of being completely immersed in a place that changes you.
