Rural Opioid Collaborative Tackles the Opioid Crisis
The Rural Opioid Collaborative (ROC) is a group of community leaders who are concerned about the opioid epidemic and its impact on North Texas. This group was established, with funding from the U.S. Health Services & Resources Administration, to develop a comprehensive plan to prevent opioid use disorders and opioid overdoses in rural communities.
The ROC’s mission is to bring together all citizens who live, work, and provide services in rural communities, for the purpose of preventing opioid misuse and overdoses. Our vision is, quite simply, to save lives.
Founding members of the ROC include:
Drug Prevention Resources (DPR) (www.drugfreegeneration.org), VOICE (www.voiceinc.org), Hope Clinic (www.call4hope.org) and Love, Cassidy (www.lovecassidy.org)
