We are bringing back our voter registration project called A Votar Se A Dicho a project that registers people to vote. Our Executive Director Denise Benavides is out here in the streets making sure everyone is ready to vote.
La Monarca Foundation expresses profound sorrow over today’s tragic shooting at the ICE office in Dallas, in which migrants were among those killed and injured.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the migrants who lost their lives, and our prayers and wishes for healing to those wounded. Their lives hold inherent dignity and value, and their suffering must not be forgotten.
This violent act wounds not only the individuals directly affected, but entire communities that live in fear of hate and hostility. No human being should ever be subject to such senseless aggression simply because of their status or origins.
Furthermore, in this moment of grief, we urge political leaders, public figures, and all members of society to reject rhetoric that dehumanizes migrants, immigrants, or any marginalized group. Words have power and too often, inflammatory speech lays the ground for real harm.
As La Monarca Foundation, we recommit ourselves to standing alongside immigrant communities, working toward safety, justice, and dignity. Let us unite not in division, but in shared humanity, so that no family ever again endures tragedy born from hatred.
